Paris 2024 Olympics ID

We have created an ID for the 2024 Paris Olympics featuring MBC's character, MBig, as the main character. The story depicts M-Big participating in various events alongside the South Korean team. The ID is designed in a cartoon render style inspired by the colors and tones of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

I was responsible for rigging and animating the extra characters in this project.

2024년 mbc 파리 올림픽 ID에 참여했습니다.  mbc의 마스코트 MBig이 대한민국 선수들과 함께 다양한 종목에 출전하는 모습을 담고 있습니다.
2024 파리 올림픽 공식 포스터의 색감과 톤에서 영감을 받아 툰렌더로 진행되었습니다. 

저는 엑스트라 캐릭터의 리깅과 애니메이션을 도맡아 작업했습니다.

With a tight deadline, rigging all 13 characters efficiently was a major challenge. To streamline the process, we utilized Cinema 4D’s built-in character tool for rigging. Instead of rigging each character individually, we grouped them by similar silhouettes, reducing the total number of unique rigs to four. Additionally, we standardized the character topology, allowing us to share weight data across models, which significantly reduced rigging time.

총 13명의 캐릭터를 촉박한 일정 내에서 리깅해야 했기에, 작업 프로세스를 단순하게 만드는것이 큰 과제였습니다.
리깅은 C4D에 내장된 캐릭터툴을 사용하였고, 실루엣이 비슷한 캐릭터끼리 묶어 리깅 셋업을 공유하는 방식으로 결론적으로는 네 개의 캐릭터만 작업하여 끝낼 수 있었습니다. 또한 캐릭터들의 면구조를 통일한 뒤 웨이트 데이터를 공유하여 리깅 시간을 크게 단축시켰습니다.
